Who are we?
A plant, people and values
"Canna
refers to the botanical name of hemp: Cannabis Sativa L.
"Vie"
symbolises the abundance, sustainability and benefits of this wonderful resource.
"Vie" also reflects our desire to bring back to life a plant that has been unjustly obscured and demonised for over a century.
We see ourselves as both contractors and militants :
Since 2015, we have devoted our hearts and energies to restore the cultivation of hemp in our customs and our countryside. We do this through our communications on social networks, markets and other events of all kinds. Our message is one of commitment: " Hemp can save the world! "
More specifically, we work in partnership with farmers Walloon and have developed a range of food and cosmetic products based on organic hemp seeds. Available in packaged or bulk form, our products can be found on the shelves of organic shops, as well as in other products developed by local artisans (pasta, granolas, soaps, creams, chocolates, etc.).

COMMUNICATIONA little history...
Victor, 35, hemp-maker
In 2010, at the age of 20, a little lost when choosing my career path and disappointed with a society that doesn't take enough care of man and nature for my taste, hemp appeared in my life as a real revelation. Food, textiles, paper, cosmetics, medicines - how can you not be intrigued when you discover so many uses for a single plant? For me, this plant very quickly represented a solution to a multitude of social and environmental problems. As soon as I made this discovery, I knew that hemp would play a major role in my life. I'm even firmly convinced that it's a life mission.
In 2014, determined to embark on the professional hemp adventure, I set off to meet the pioneers of a fledgling Belgian industry. Along with Geoffroy, another hemp enthusiast, I joined the Purchanvre (a brand of food products) and Be.Hemp (a defibration plant) projects. We began to criss-cross Belgium to raise public awareness of the countless virtues of our beloved plant.
From dream to reality
The idea of growing hemp never left me for a second. It's a step that I feel is essential to really familiarise myself with the plant and deepen my knowledge of it.
In 2015, I met Muriel, who allowed me to realize my dream by inviting me to plant a few hectares on her land located in Sart-Bernard (Namur) in spring 2016. This is when Cannavie was born.
As I didn't come from a farming background, I found it difficult to break into the industry and had to endure a number of setbacks. Fortunately, my passion and my ambitions enabled me not to give up, even though I thought about it more than once...
